Rick Doblin, Ph.D., is the founder and executive director of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). He first founded MAPS in 1986 and still continues today. His professional goal is to help develop legal contexts for the beneficial uses of psychedelics and marijuana, primarily as prescription medicines but also for personal growth for otherwise healthy people.

Dennis McKenna, co-founder of the Heffter Institute, is an ethnopharmacologist, research pharmacognosist, lecturer, and author. Dennis has pursued interdisciplinary research in the study of Amazonian ethnopharmacology and plant hallucinogens for over 30 years.  Dennis McKenna’s professional and personal interests are focused on the interdisciplinary study of ethnopharmacology and natural hallucinogens.

Wade Davis is a cultural anthropologist, ethnobotanist, author, and photographer. Wade Davis is also an Explorer in Residence at the National Geographic Society. He is the author of 15 books, including the bestseller, Serpent and the Rainbow. Wade spent more than 3 years in the Amazon and Andes as a plant explorer, living among 15 indigenous groups in 8 nations while making some 6,000 botanical collections.

Ethan Russo's research interests have included correlations of historical uses of cannabis to modern pharmacological mechanisms. He is the author of Handbook of Psychotropic Herbs, co-editor of Cannabis and Cannabinoids: Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutic Potential, and author of The Last Sorcerer: Echoes of the Rainforest.

Dan is Board Certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Clinical Informatics. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine. He graduated with degrees in Neuroscience and Behavior (BA), and Clinical Informatics (MA), Columbia University; Medicine (MD), University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Ekaterina received her medical degree from St Petersburg Medical Academy and then moved to the US where she completed her Internal Medicine residency training.  She was a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, as well as a Research Professor at City University of New York.

Prof. David Nutt is the Founding Chair of the charity Drug Science and PAREA the European association for access to research with psychedelics. Previously, he was President f the European Brain Council and of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology. The Times Eureka science magazine voted him one of the 100 most important figures in British Science.

Celia is a Professor of Psychopharmacology at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. Prof. Morgan completed her undergraduate degree and Ph.D at University College London (UCL) and completed a scholarship program at Yale University. Prof. Morgan is the academic lead for both Exeter Translational Addiction Partnership (ETAP) and Ketamine for Reduction of Alcoholic Relapse (KARE).

Dr Sessa’s joint interests in psychotherapy, pharmacology, and trauma have led him towards researching the subject of drug-assisted psychotherapy using psychedelic adjuncts. In the last 15 years, he has been part of scientific and clinical studies administering LSD, psilocybin, ketamine,  MDMA, and DMT to patients and volunteers.
